11th Annual New York Book Fair
November 23-24

For an admission price of $3, the New York Book Fair offers shoppers 50% off the retail price on 20,000 new books, as well as CDs, videos, calendars, cards and other gift items. The Fair is held annually on the weekend before Thanksgiving at Goddard Riverside Community Center on the Upper West Side (393 Columbus Avenue @ 88th Street.)

America Online is running a nationwide talent search to identify AOL 'Insiders'. Contest rules and information can be found on AOL at keyword: Talent Search. Internet users can enter the Talent Search on AOL.com at http://www.aol.com. Deadline is November 15, 1997 at 11:59 p.m. ET.

*The Kachina Rose Card Company's essay contest is for the romantically inclined. All entries must be in by midnight, November 16, 1997 and winners will be notified by email on December 20, 1997. Four winners will each receive an original 12"x16" floral oil painting by Tuscon artist Elizabeth Merchant. These paintings are valued at $200 and up at retail.
