ContestsHyperion Books for Children is running its New Voices, New Worlds First Novel Award contest. The award will be given annually to the winner(s) of a competition for a work of contemporary or historical fiction set in the United States that reflects the diverse ethnic and cultural heritage of our country. The prize is a book contract on the publisher's standard form with an advance against royalties of $7500 and a $1500 cash prize. The entry date has been extended to April 30, 2002.
