Contests

Hyperion Books for Children is running its New Voices, New Worlds First Novel Award contest. The award will be given annually to the winner(s) of a competition for a work of contemporary or historical fiction set in the United States that reflects the diverse ethnic and cultural heritage of our country. The prize is a book contract on the publisher's standard form with an advance against royalties of $7500 and a $1500 cash prize. The entry date has been extended to April 30, 2002.

The deadline for 4th quarter entries to L. Ron Hubbard's annual Writers of the Future contest is December 31. Rules can be found on the Writers of the Future website.
