Description: The Paris Review is a quarterly literary magazine established in 1953. The magazine was originally published in Paris and moved to New York City in 1973. George Plimpton was the editor of the magazine for many years.

Payment: Payment is not listed in the online guidelines for The Paris Review. An article from writing.ie says they pay up to $1,000 per story.

Tips: The editors say, "We strongly suggest to all who submit that they read the most recent issues of The Paris Review to acquaint themselves with material the magazine has published." The Paris Review also offers literary competitions that writers can enter.

Note: Emily Nemens was announced as the seventh editor of The Paris Review in April 2018.

How to Submit: Fiction manuscripts and essays should be sent to the attention of the Fiction Editor and poetry manuscripts to the Poetry Editor. Simultaneous submissions are acceptable as long as they are notified immediately if the manuscript is accepted for publication elsewhere.
