Description: Yoga for EveryBody is a quarterly publication dedicated to the encouragement and practice of yoga. We encourage descriptions of postures and asanas in detailed step-by step instructions. We are also interested in the various schools of yoga.

Needs: We are especially interested in how yoga relates to ones day-to-day life; how the practice of yoga influences one’s daily circumstances; how the attention to detail in asanas and awareness of the breath assist us during life’s challenging and stressful times._x000D_

_x000D_ We are also interested in articles describing the various schools of yoga, such as Hatha, Vinyasa, Ashtanga, etc._x000D_

_x000D_ We are interested in holistic healing modalities and stress reduction techniques. _x000D_

_x000D_ We have an interest in where yoga has been incorporated into the workplace, any corporate or business programs that encourage yoga and stress reduction through wellness programs or workplace classes._x000D_

_x000D_ We do not accept music reviews or unsolicited poetry and cartoons. We are interested in book reviews and tips on websites that encourage well being._x000D_

_x000D_ We would like to cover a diversity of views from many yogic traditions. How does the practice of yoga engender a wholeness of mind, body and spirit while deepening our connections to the world?

Length: Features are generally 1,500-2,500 words in length. Departments run 1,000–2000 words and Columns run 500-800 words Payment is determined on a case-by-case basis, .

Rights: Contributor grants Yoga for EveryBody all rights of purchased _x000D_ manuscripts with the exclusion for writer to publish article in later _x000D_ book and/or personal website.

Payment: When an article has been assigned, payment is made half upon acceptance of the completed manuscripts and half upon publication. If an article has been accepted and is never published your “kill fee” is the initial payment received.

How to Submit: Queries are preferred to completed manuscripts. We prefer electronic proposals via email. Please describe what you are proposing in a clear, well written outline. Indicate whether you intend to include accompanying photos or illustrations in your article. If possible, send along a couple of clips or copies of previously published work. Send to If it is necessary to send your queries and clips via postal mail, send to: Editor, Yoga For EveryBody, 1041 Shary Circle, Concord, CA 94518. Materials will not be returned unless accompanied with an SASE with sufficient postage. We do not accept phone queries. Assigned manuscripts are best submitted electronically via email attachment or CD. Macintosh Word format is preferred. Contact us via email to discuss other formats. Include your name, telephone number, email and mailing addresses at the top of the document. Include word count in the top right corner. It is also helpful to include a short two-three line bio/description of yourself.

Response Time: Allow twevle weeks for response. It is possible that an assigned article could be published anywhere from three months to one year from the date of acceptance. Yoga for Every Body reserves the right not to publish an accepted article.
