Posted on February 26, 1998

Women in Technology International (WITI) and InfoWorld Media Group, an independent business unit of leading technology publisher International Data Group (IDG), jointly announced the launch of WITI Magazine.

The publication, tailored specifically for women decision-makers and business leaders in science and technology professions, will premiere as a supplement to IDG's flagship publication, InfoWorld (circulation 350,000), in the March 2 issue. The magazine will appear online March 2 at www.witi.org and through a link at www.infoworld.com.

Subsequent issues are planned for June 1, Aug. 24, and Sept. 21, timed to appear shortly before WITI's three regional conferences and its annual Technology Summit. At each of these events, WITI Magazine will be distributed as an insert in the conference programs. These issues also will appear in Infoworld and on WITI's Web site. The regional conferences will be in Austin, Texas, March 26-27; Atlanta, Sept. 17-18; and Boston, Oct. 19-20. WITI's annual conference, The Technology Summit, will be in Santa Clara, Calif., June 24-26.

Each installment of WITI Magazine will feature in-depth profiles of women who are shaping the direction of technology: how they've reached the top of their profession, the challenges they face, and their vision of the future of technology. In addition, regular departments will focus on business and career strategies, women on the move, and high-tech products designed by and for women.
