Posted on April 15, 1999

The Women.com Networks has unveiled HomeArts.com's newly revitalized Food Channel. Featuring expanded content, services and features that visitors can customize to reflect their personal preferences, the Food Channel is the latest addition to the ever-growing Women.com Networks, which now includes all areas of HomeArts.com and Astronet.

The centerpiece of the new Food Channel is a free-of-charge and customizable feature called My File Cabinet, where users can build and store selected editorial content such as recipes, favorite restaurants, shopping lists and menu planning options. The Food Channel has also been upgraded with an enhanced Recipe Finder database that contains thousands of recipes from noted cookbooks and Hearst magazines such as Redbook, Good Housekeeping and Mr. Food's Easy Cooking. The recipes can be transported into the visitor's personalized Shopping List and Menu Planner.

"The newly enhanced Food Channel reinforces the Women.com Networks position as the Web's smartest and most efficient place for women on the Web," said Steven Wagner, Vice President of Programming for the Women.com Networks. "The area's new content and features far outrank any other food-related sites and is receiving an enthusiastic response from our new and returning visitors."
