White House Adviser Paul Begala Joins George Magazine

Posted on February 25, 1999

Veteran White House adviser Paul Begala has become the newest member of George magazine's political team, John Kennedy, George's president and editor in chief, announced today.

Begala, who has spent seven years as a top advisor to President Clinton, will be a contributing editor and will write a monthly column for the magazine. The 37-year-old Texan, who is leaving the White House next month, says he plans to write about compelling political figures and urgent issues that are important to people outside the Beltway.

"This column will give me the opportunity to reach hundreds of thousands of people interested in politics," Begala says.

"Paul Begala's wide-ranging political knowledge comes right from the trenches of American politics. His experiences inside the Clinton presidency will be a great addition to George's repertoire of insider political reporting," says Kennedy.
