Twitter Tweaks Who to Follow People Search, But Serves Up Limited Results

Twitter announced it has made some updates to its Who to follow feature on Twitter. The people search is now sorted by a relevance algorithm instead of by keyword.

This is helpful for people looking for subjects, but it may make the people search more problematic for people looking for people. One major downside is that the search serves you a very limited number of results. Another downside is that there is no longer a way to search Twitter accounts by keyword.

Twitter should let the results continue below the 20 results they give you. There surely are many, many more Twitter accounts about sports then the twenty results the Twitter people search returns. The same could be said about "tech," "cars," "dogs," "real estate agents" and a thousand other subjects. Why stop at 20? Twitter should also give users the option to search Twitter account by keyword, like before. This would also be good for Twitter, because the more search options Twitter has, the more pageviews Twitter should generate from search.

Another added feature is the Advaned search tool, which is a welcomed addition.
