Star Tribune And Mpls. St. Paul Magazine Announce Strategic Online Alliance

Mpls. St. Paul magazine and the Star Tribune announced that they are establishing an innovative and broad-based partnership between their respective services on the World Wide Web. The affiliation will begin with extensive cross-links between their Web sites, and Mpls. St. Paul Recommends. The relationship will be further developed to include advertising sales and the sharing of a portion of their Web sites' contents, according to officials from both organizations.

The affiliation was developed to provide local Internet users with an easy way to access the most comprehensive and most used sources of news, sports and lifestyle information for the Twin Cities and Minnesota, according to Tim J. McGuire, editor and senior vice president for new media at the Star Tribune.

"Our site,, is the region's preferred source of online information because we have continuously expanded and enhanced its content over the past four years. Consumers are visiting our site more than any other in this region, and this special partnership with Mpls. St. Paul Recommends will serve these visitors even better," McGuire said.
