Screentalk and Eastman Kodak Join Forces to Cover Banff International Television Festival
Posted on June 16, 1999ScreenTalk, a screenwriting website, and official sponsor Eastman Kodak Company have announced the launch of a special Banff site. The new added Banff section will feature special reports by ScreenTalk columnist Colleen Patrick about the award-winning writers at the BTVF June 13-20.
BTVF is an annual international event for Broadcasters, Television writers, producers, directors and filmmakers. David E. Kelley (US), Martin Short (Canada), Alberto Negrin (Italy), Bruno Monsaingeon (France), Lucy Blakstad (UK) and Tom Fontana (US) are among the talents attending and participating.
Nearly 2,000 international leaders in the television industry from more than 40 countries are gathering in Banff, Alberta, Canada to honor the best writers, directors, producers, programs and performers in the world, as well as conduct workshops showing how to improve every aspect of the craft.
Writing seminars will be led by (US) Aaron Sorkin, writer/creator of the ABC-TV series, Sports Night; (UK) Andrew Davies, screenwriter, Vanity Fair; (Canada) Steve Smith, writer/creator of the international hit comedy The Red Green Show; and (Canada) Suzette Couture, screenwriter, mini-series, Million Dollar Babies.
