Reader's Digest and Universal Press Syndicate Announce Syndication Deal

Reader's Digest magazine and Universal Press Syndicate have announced an agreement to syndicate editorial content from the magazine to U.S. newspapers on a monthly basis, beginning in December. The deal was announced by Jacqueline Leo, Editor-in-Chief, Reader's Digest magazine. Reader's Digest reaches 43 million American readers each month.

As part of the agreement, Universal Press Syndicate will distribute selected Reader's Digest content to newspapers, websites and college campus publications nationwide. Universal Press Syndicate provides features like Dear Abby, Garfield, and Doonesbury to more than 1300 American newspapers. Popular Reader's Digest columns such as: Medical Update, RD Challenge, and Word Power, as well as celebrity interviews and other original feature stories will be made available.
