Offutt Named Senior VP Viacom Consumer Products

Brian Offutt has been named Senior Vice President, Nickelodeon & ViacomConsumer Products. In this new position, he will oversee Paramount's licensing and merchandising activities. The announcement was made by Leigh Anne Brodsky, President of Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products, to whom he will report. With Paramount's consumer products business now a part of New York-based Nickelodeon & Viacom Consumer Products, Offutt, based in Los Angeles, will head up the motion picture studio's part of the business. Working closely with the studio team, he will construct and implement a long-term strategy for film licensing and merchandising. His responsibilities include licensing upcoming motion pictures, including War of the Worlds, and the company's tv and motion picture library, which includes Star Trek. Offutt formerly was Chief Operating Officer of Broadway Video Entertainment, an independent television and film production company founded by Saturday Night Live creator Lorne Michaels. Prior to Broadway Video, Offutt was President and Chief Operating Officer of Interdimensions, an online technology and interactive solutions company. He has also served as Senior Vice President of Golden Books, an executive recruiter at Spencer Stuart and an investment bank analyst at JP Morgan.
