New Search Engine Resource Launches Called SearchIQ
Posted on February 5, 1999SearchIQ has announced the launch of its websites, SearchIQ.com, an online field guide to searching the Web. SearchIQ provides independent reviews and rankings of search engines and metasearch tools.
"Users often spend endless hours sifting through irrelevant sites," says Charlie Cook, Search Engine Guru. "Most people don't realize that they can access many far more effective search tools than the "one" that comes with their browser and/or Internet access provider."
Using relevance and comprehensiveness, among other selection criteria, SearchIQ ranks available search engines, directories and tools. SearchIQ claims that some low profile search tools can help you find the information you are looking for far more quickly than the big name search engines.
"Whether you're looking for a wine store in Christ Church, New Zealand or the latest investment tips, SearchIQ provides the most comprehensive listing of search engines and directories on the web," says Cook. "With hundreds of search engines reviewed, you'll know which resources to use and which to avoid."
