MarketWatch.com Signs Book Deal with Alpha Books

Alpha Books announced that it will publish the first book by MarketWatch.com, Inc., an online source of financial news and information. Due to hit stores in late May, the book titled CBS MarketWatch Stories Behind the Numbers: How America Made a Fortune and Lost Its Shirt will be authored by MarketWatch.com TV and Internet correspondent Steve Gelsi and edited by the Company's editor-and-chief, Thom Calandra.

Following CBS MarketWatch's familiar tagline "the story behind the numbers," the book is comprised of real stories of ordinary Americans who got clobbered in the market and the common sense strategies of those who survived. It uses these inspiring and often quirky stories of how people pick stocks to provide an informative view of the stock market and the first look back at the market free-fall of 2000 and 2001, including perspectives after September 11.
