Information Please Announces Infoplease Kids' Almanac

Information Please LLC, a provider of reference information on the Internet, has announced the launch of their new kids' site, Infoplease Kids' Almanac. The Infoplease Kids' Almanac combines information vital for homework with fun facts and trivia.

The site includes Homework Center and Homework Helper, where students can find help for their homework assignments. The Infoplease Homework Center offers tips for frequently assigned topics and Information Please editors give individualized free help to kids who submit their questions -- answers to the questions are posted on the site for all to use. Kids can also explore Facts Behind The News, Feature Articles, Today In History, Today's Birthdays and try their skill at the fun "What Does It Mean" word quiz.

"Teachers and parents are advocates of really good online sources for information, and the Infoplease Kids' Almanac is just that, " said Steve Vander Ark, Library Media Specialist/ Technical Coordinator for a school system in Michigan. "It's one of the few resource sites I have selected to link to my school web site. It's well-designed, very thorough and extremely useful for my students from elementary grades all the way through high school. It's wonderful to be able to point them to a site that I know will meet their needs."
