Website Relaunches With New Health Tools

Posted on July 21, 1999

Montreal based GlobalMedic this past week re-launched its public website. Initially known for its online Check-Up – an online symptom assessment tool for consumers – the GlobalMedic site has now been redeveloped for greater clarity and organizes all programs under two major categories: Health Info and Self-care Tools. GlobalMedic also uses its website as a window for its corporate product: the Health & Wellness Companion

Self-Care Tools is the technology-based area for interactive and expert system based applications. Among those is the Health Quiz, an application that evaluates people's lifestyle habits in various fields and provides a personal profile with recommendations. GlobalMedic CheckUp comprises kids', women's and men’s interactive medical check-ups, and each health category in each check up is linked to relevant health information within the site.

The Health Info area includes an online encyclopedia of 4,000 medical terms, a comprehensive drug database, a first aid section and additional resources which provide information on topics from burns and blisters to strains and sprains.
