Enjoy Summer Vacation With WayBack, US History for Kids

"Summer Vacation," the newest issue of WayBack, US History for Kids on The American Experience Online takes an entertaining look at the fine art of summer vacations past and present. The site chronicles the early days of summer camp and car camping, takes a fond look at roadside attractions, and highlights top family vacation spots in the United States.

Launched in November 1998, WayBack: US History for is produced by The American Experience Online. Past issues have received kudos from Netscape Netcenter, Yahooligans!, and Netsurfer Digest. WayBack is funded by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation. The American Experience Online also produces a companion website for every new television broadcast of The American Experience Online, with information beyond the broadcast including program schedules, teacher's guides, audience feedback, and links to related sites.
