Colin Ungaro Named CEO of CurtCo Freedom Group

Colin Ungaro has been named CEO of CurtCo Freedom Group, announced Sam Wolgemuth, president of Freedom Communication's magazine division. Previously, Ungaro was president and CEO of International Data Group's Network World, Inc., a computer networking magazine.

An industry veteran, Ungaro has also worked at CMP Publications Group as editorial director for CommunicationsWeek, CommunicationsWeek International, Network Computing and InformationWeek. He also served as associate publisher of McGraw-Hill's Data Communications, and vice president of editorial for McGraw-Hill's Information System's division. Ungaro will take the CurtCo helm from founder Bill Curtis, who has joined Freedom's Interactive Media Division as the CEO of
