Lorax Statue Stolen From Home of Dr. Seuss

A 200-pound bronze Lorax statue was stolen the home of Dr. Seuss. Theodor Geisel's widow still lives on the estate. The Lorax statue is one of two Lorax statues made by Dr. Seuss's stepdaughter. The other Lorax statue is in a museum.

Reuters reports that the statue was reported missing on Monday morning. Police do not know if the theft has to do with the recent film release, or if someone thought the metal the statue is made from might be worth something melted down. We hope the police can find the missing Lorax.
