Harry Potter Ebooks Delayed Until 2012

The Harry Potter ebooks have been delayed until 2012. The ebooks were originally expected to be available through Pottermore.com in October, 2011. The announcement about the delay was posted on the Pottermore website.

Finally, the Pottermore Shop, which will sell the Harry Potter eBooks and digital audio books, will now open in the first half of 2012, in order to allow us to focus on our first priority: opening Pottermore to as many people as possible and making the experience as good as it can be.

The Pottermore site says the priority is getting the website open. Once that happens then they will focus on launched in the ebooks. The announcement also says the Pottermore website will move out of Beta in October and open registration to everyone.
