Acrobat eBook Reader: Acrobat eBook Reader 2.1 is free ebook reading software that includes Adobe CoolType font rendering technology, a two-page layout feature and an interactive dictionary.
Apple iBooks: Apple has developed software for its iPhone and iPad devices that lets you read ebooks. The software can also be used on Macs. Your ebook library is stored in the cloud so it can accessed from multiple devices. The software works with Apple's iBooks Store.
Amazon Kindle Software: Amazon's Kindle reading software is available for multiple devices. This includes the Kindle for PC and Kindle for MAC. They also have apps available for iOS, Android and more.
Microsoft Reader is designed to make the on-screen reading experience as close as possible to reading a printed book, while adding bookmarking capabilities and access to content and storage of a personal library. Microsoft Reader uses ClearType font technology. It can be downloadable for free from the website.
The Palm Reader, from Palm Digital Media, is ebook reading software for handheld computers using Palm OS software or WinCE software. The regular Palm Reader is available as a free download. The Palm Reader Pro is also available which includes extra font support, a built-in dictionary, and other tools for $9.95.
