Dead Writers Perfume Smells Like Old Books

Posted on May 14, 2016

Sweet Tea Apothecary has created a fragrance called Dead Writers Perfume. The fragrance has the scent of old books. The company says the fragrance "invokes the feeling of sitting in an old library chair paging through yellowed copies of Hemingway, Shakespeare, Fitzgerald, Poe, and more."

The fragrance contains notes of black tea, vetiver, clove, musk, vanilla, heliotrope, and tobacco. It is sold in a clear bottle with a silver cap.

Ashley Weatherford at The Cut tried out the new fragrance and says, "I couldn't stop sniffing the pulse point on my wrist where I'd sprayed the scent. And, like a really good book, I just couldn't put Dead Writers down."

It sounds like great gift for writers and reader friends. The name alone makes it an interesting gift. The fragrance costs $30 for a 9 ml bottle and $50 for a 15 ml bottle. It can be found at Immortal Perfumes.
