The Zoetrope: All-Story Short Fiction Competition is an annual literary fiction contest that is now in its 23rd year.

The contest is open to literary fiction up to 5,000 words. The prizes include $1000 first prize, $500 second prize and $250 third prize. There will also be seven honorable mentions.

The judge for this year's contest is Tommy Orange. Results will be announced at the website December 16 and in the Winter 2019/2020 issue of Zoetrope: All-Story; and the winning story will be published as a special online supplement to that Winter 2019/2020 issue.

There is a $30 entry fee per story. You can enter multiple times at $30 per story entry. Use the online submission for at Zoetrope to enter the contest.
