Surprised to see your web site and a writer.Sometimes iv'e wondered where the trait comes from for this reading and writing . My grandmother who had only one eye read continually until she died at the age of 94. Hi There I appreciate your works. Merry Christmas 2001.
- Monday, December 17, 2001 at 09:41:08 (EST)
I started out preferring the Lady Margaret Priam series. Over time, I've grown quite fond of Betty. I think we'd have more in common. Still, Lady Margaret gives the reader a winning view of the not-so-rich titled British that are more numerous with time, as titles are bestowed to movie stars, pop singers and other questionable folks. Let me hasten to add that Sir Cliff Richard demonstrates irrefutably that the man must make the title, for a title can never make a man whose character does not reflect it. Having said that, I think it's time someone arranged for a Lady Joyce Christmas. Joyce is not only a fine writer, but a most talented raconteur and a loyal friend. Rick and Brunetta Centner

Hi Joyce, I just wanted to drop you a note to let you know how much I love your books. I'm afraid to say I just can't get into Lady Priam but I adore Betty. I can't wait for a new one to come out. It seems that you write less of Betty than Lady Priam. I find all the characters in the Betty books so much more interesting and fun to read. When I start one of her books I really don't want to put it down until I am finished. Please keep Betty alive she is great! I am new on the web and I must say I find it very exciting to be able to converse with an author have enjoyed for so long. Thank you for your time Jean
