Archivist Seeks to Preserve One Copy of Every Book Ever Written

Brewster Kahle, founder of the Internet Archive, has launched an ambitious project to save one copy of every book ever written. Kahle has collected 500,000 books to date. The books are being stored in climate-controlled shipping containers in a warehouse located outside San Francisco. CTV.ca says there are estimated to be around 130 million books worldwide so 500,000 books is just a fraction of what Kahle will need to achieve his goal. Take a look:
