Sofia Black-D’Elia and Analeigh Tipton Battle the Worm Flu in Viral Trailer
Posted on July 4, 2016
We've been inundated with horror movies and zombie movies lately. Now Paranormal 3 directors Henry Joost and Ariel Schulman have crossed those two subgenres and added an infection element to the mix in the first trailer for Viral. Emma and Stacy are sisters living in a small town when a terrible infection breaks out. People call it the Worm Flu because after they get infected the patients want to spew worms and blood into every one's mouths so they get infected, too. Then they go on a killing rampage.
Emma (Sofia Black-D’Elia) and Stacey (Analeigh Tipton) get trapped in their house alone when the quarantine hits: their parents are outside the town. The virus quickly spreads through the neighborhood. Being idiot teens they ignore their father's (House of Cards' Michael Kelly) warnings to stay inside and go to a neighbor boy's party.
Stacey gets infected and Emma is determined to keep her safe. But the little worms are telling Stacey to do terrible things. Emma has a difficult decision to make if she wants to live.
The film also stars Travis Tope, Machine Gun Kelly, Brianne Howey, John Cothran and Judyann Elder. It hits theaters on July 29th. Take a look:
