Nathan Lane and James Corden Perform Inappropriate Musicals

Posted on October 15, 2015

Nathan Lane, Rachel Bloom (My Crazy Ex-Girlfriend) and James Corden teamed up for a trio of hilarious "Inappropriate Musicals." They showed us the Broadway musical potential for the classic films The Terminator, The Exorcist and Seven.

Nathan plays the Terminator from the first movie when he asks for Sarah Connor at the police station and tells the cop on duty that "he'll be back." James plays the cop on duty, who comes to an unfortunate end at the hands of the T-800. Nathan sings, "I’ll be back, oh! I'll be back. Don’t you dare go anywhere 'cause I'll be back!"

Rachel is hilarious as Regan, the possessed girl played by Linda Blair in The Exorcist. She sings the soon to be classic tune, "You Make My Head Spin," while Nathan and James join in as singing priests trying to exorcise the demon inside her. She spins her head around 360 degrees and you know what happens with the pea soup.

James takes the Brad Pitt role and Rachel gets to be Gwyneth Paltrow's character during the final scene from Seven, the grisly serial killer movie that ends with a real shocker for Pitt's character, Detective Mills. This song was actually really catchy. Nathan is the serial killer who sings a duet with Mills. The detective sings, "What's in the box?" Nathan sings back, "What's in the box? I'm not gonna say, but I'll give you a hint: it's blonde."

Reggie Watts plays the Morgan Freeman role who unenthusiastically tells James' character, "No Mills, I can't let you do this." Of course Mills he does open the box. They all join in to sing the catchy tune, "Life is a Game."

We can't believe how well The Excorcist and Seven turned into musicals. Hey, they made Titanic into a musical, why not classic horror films?
