Jerry Seinfeld Discusses Seinfeld, Hulu and How His Wardrobe Hasn't Aged Well

Seinfeld fans will be able to stream the show on Hulu beginning on June 24th. Hulu outbid Amazon and Yahoo for the rights to stream the show about nothing. It reportedly paid $180 million or around $700,000 an episode.

The show went off the air in 1998 after a nine season run. The show has been in syndication since then. But other than buying the DVDs, there has been no way to stream the episodes in order without commercial interruptions.

Hulu will restore the full network version of the series. When the show went into syndication 4-5 minutes were cut from each episode. But now the show will be seen in its full comedic glory.

Jerry Seinfeld was a guest on Late Night With Seth Meyers and they discussed the deal and Jerry's reaction to the huge amount Hulu was willing to pay. Jerry said that he was very excited about the offer, but then wanted to make sure that Hulu knew this was just the original show -- they're not making new episodes. Hulu said they understood that and the deal closed.

Jerry and Seth discussed how the show has aged really well. The comedy is pretty timeless. But Jerry admitted that a few years in he realized that one day their clothes would look ridiculous. Jerry says there is no way to fix this problem. Because whatever we wear today will look ridiculous in ten years, and there's just nothing that can be done about it. Although he did try to work on his wardrobe so it wouldn't look dated in the future. Take a look:
