Jason Bourne Wins Weekend Box Office With $60 Million Opening

Jason Bourne won the box office this weekend with a $60 million opening. The film starring Matt Damon, Tommy Lee Jones and Alicia Vikander has an A- CinemaScore. This was the second biggest opening for a Bourne film.

Jason Bourne was followed by Star Trek Beyond which made $24 million during its second weekend in theaters. Bad Moms finished third with a strong $23.4 million opening. Bad Moms has a great A CinemaScore. It stars Mila Kunis, Kathryn Hahn and Kristen Bell.

Bad Moms was followed by The Secret Life of Pets, which made another $18 million and is closing in on $300 million total. Pets was followed by Lights Out, Ice Age: Collision Course and Ghostbusters.

Nerve opened in eight and made $9 million. The edgy comedy stars Emma Roberts and Dave Franco. It has an A- CinemaScore. Nerve is followed by Finding Dory, The Legend of Tarzan, Hillary's America: The Secret History of the Democratic Party, Cafe Society, Mike and Dave Need Wedding Dates and Captain Fantastic.
