Full Trailer for Jason Bourne Shows Why Matt Damon is Key to the Franchise

Matt Damon returns as the super spy in the Jason Bourne trailer. When you see Matt Damon as Bourne you realize how much better these films are when you have the original issue Bourne instead of Bourne-light. The trailer doesn't give us a lot of detail about the plot, but that's ok. We're happy to enjoy a trailer that doesn't give us the entire plot of the movie, beat by beat.

The trailer opens with Bourne winning a fight with just one punch. That sets the tone for an action-packed trailer. So Bourne has returned and he has his memory back. He remembers everything that happened to him. Why he was recruited by the CIA, why he agreed to be part of the training program and how he lost his memory. But as his CIA handler Nicky (Julia Stiles) tells him, just because he remembers everything doesn't mean he knows everything.

The film also stars Alicia Vikander, Tommy Lee Jones, Vincent Cassel, Neve Gachev and Bill Camp. The film was written and directed by Paul Greengrass, who writes the most spectacular car chases ever put on film. In fact, we get a peek at an amazing car chase scene in the trailer. The film is set for release on July 29, 2016 and we can't wait to see it. Take a look:
