Edina and Patsy Accidentally Kill Kate Moss in New Absolutely Fabulous Trailer

Edina (Jennifer Saunders) and Patsy (Joanna Lumley ) are in big trouble in the international trailer for Absolutely Fabulous. Determined to land Kate Moss as a client they burst into a party and find Moss talking with Jon Hamm. Patsy successfully lures Hamm away, but in the ensuing confusion, Kate Moss falls off the balcony into the Thames River, apparently dead. Now Edina and Patsy are social pariahs and must go on the run -- to France.

Edina and Patsy have been London fashion industry bigwigs for years, but now they are persona non grata after the Kate Moss incident. Stella McCartney apparently never liked them as she accosts Edina at a party and demands that Edina never wear her clothing. She also hurls a brick through Edina's window after the accidental defenestration of Ms. Moss. But is she really dead? Perhaps she'll turn up in the third act.

Their outfits are bizarre, the celebrity cameos are legion and the comedy is right on target. It's as if the television show never stopped. The film also stars Rebel Wilson (who tries to tase Patsy on a plane, unsuccessfully), Julia Sawalha as Edina's long-suffering daughter Saffron, Cara Delevigne, Joan Collins, Chris Colfer, Jane Horrocks and Gwendoline Christie. Directed by Mandie Fletcher, the film is due to hit theaters on July 22, 2016. Take a look:
