Arrow Season 4 Trailer Features New Villains and John Constantine

Posted on September 6, 2015

The CW surprised Arrow fans at DragonCon with a sneak peek at the upcoming season four of the popular series. Spoilers abound for those who haven't yet seen season three. At the end of last season, Ray Palmer (Brandon Routh) was declared dead and Starling City was renamed Star City in his honor. But that is just the beginning of all the changes in Star City.

Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) has retired from being the Arrow and is living a life of simple domesticity with Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Richards). Needless to say Star City needs the Arrow back -- and fast. It's one of the most beloved cities of evil villains everywhere and it really needs an entire legion of superheroes to keep it safe. Well, relatively safe. Not to mention all the people who have failed their city -- they need a good talking to and the Arrow is the only one who can do it.

We're super excited about the fast glimpse of John Constantine (Matt Ryan) visiting Star City to help the Arrow out. It helps take away the sting of Constantine's untimely and undeserved cancellation. We can't wait till he fires up some magic in front of Oliver Queen. There are new faces in this season, including DC Comics characters Mr. Terrific (Echo Kellum), Damien Darhk (Neal McDonough), and Anarky (Alexander Calvert). Sara Lance (Caity Lotz) has gotten a new lease on life from the Lazarus Pit and will be heading over to join DC Comics' Legends of Tomorrow as the White Canary.

The fourth season debuts on The CW on October 7th at 8 pm Eastern. Take a look:
