Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross to Write the Score for Gone Girl Movie

Nine Inch Nails rock star and Oscar winning composer Trent Reznor confirmed via Twitter that he and Atticus Ross will compose the score for the film version of the bestselling novel Gone Girl by Gillian Flynn. Reznor tweeted, "And yes, Atticus and I are scoring David Fincher's upcoming Gone Girl!" David Fincher is directing the film which stars Ben Affleck, Rosamund Pike, Neil Patrick Harris and Tyler Perry.

Reznor and Ross won the Oscar for Best Original Score for The Social Network and won a Grammy for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for their score for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Gone Girl is filming now and is set for release on October 3, 2014. Gillian Flynn has revealed that she worked with the director to change the ending of the novel for the film version. The ending was divisive: some readers loved it, some hated it. But apparently those that didn't like the book's ending will get to see a new ending to the story of a man who is accused of murdering his wife who disappeared on their wedding anniversary.
