Spike Jonze wins Best Screenplay at 2014 Golden Globes


Spike Jonze won Best Screenplay for Her at the 2014 Golden Globe Awards. In Her, Joaquin Phoenix plays a lonely man who begins to fall for Samantha, an advanced computer operating system voiced by Scarlett Johansson. Jonze also directed the film.

Emma Thompson presented the screenplay nominees while holding a drink and her shoes. She said, "As an actor all I ever look for is a great, great screenplay and as a screenwriter all I know is how difficult they are to get great."

Jonze said in his acceptance speech that he is a terrible public speaker. Jonze thanked his fellow writers, producer, cast and crew, agent, Warner Bros. and Scarlett and Joaquin during his speech. They didn't give him much time before the music started playing. Take a look:
