Open Road Integrated Media is
publishing all of Pearl S. Buck's novels as ebooks.
The New York Times reports that all thirteen of Buck's novels will make it into digital format.
In 1932, Buck became the first woman to win the Pulitzer Prize. She won for
The Good Earth. Buck, who died in 1973, also won the Nobel Prize for Literature. Other novels include
The Big Wave, The Promise and
A House Divided.
Jeffrey Sharp of Open Road said in a statement, "Pearl Buck opened an entire generation of U.S. readers to the richness of China, her people and the bonds that tie our two cultures together. There is no singular author who speaks more to the power of cross cultural storytelling than Pearl Buck."
