that bestselling author Janet Evanovich is sticking with Random House. Evanovich has signed an eight-book deal with Ballantine Bantam Dell division. She will write four more books in the Stephanie Plum series, and will write four books in a new series. She will co-author the new series with Lee Goldberg.
The new series features an FBI agent named Kate Winslow and a fugitive named Danny Cole. The first book in the series will hoot bookstores in the fall of 2013. The books are described as a "a thrilling combination of crime, romance, and adventure."
The feature film
One for the Money starred Katherine Heigl as Stephanie Plum did not set the box office on fire. It
made $26 million domestic for a worldwide gross of $36,893,721. The reviews were absolutely abysmal, with only a
2% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Somehow we never got to the theater to see it, but how could this movie have been that bad? 2%? Really?
The next novel in the series is
Notorious Nineteen, which will be released this November.
