July 31, 2009. Write a poem, 30 lines or fewer, any subject
or write a short story, 5 pages maximum on any theme, for a
chance to win cash prizes and published online! Prize$:

I Write the Songs Hosts Songwriting Contest
I Write the Songs is happy to announce the launch of its new
website. In celebration of the new site IWS is hosting a
Country Songwriting Contest. Each entry is $10 and one
grand prizewinner will be awarded a prize package worth
over $1000. Each entry will receive a critique sheet listing

Writers of the Future Contest
The L. Ron Hubbard Writers of the Future Contests has four
quarters, beginning on October 1, January 1, April 1 and
July 1. No entry fee. There are three cash prizes in
each quarter: a First Prize of $1,000, a Second Prize of
$750, and a Third Prize of $500. There is also one Grand
Prize each year worth $4,000. All types of science fiction,
fantasy and horror with fantastic elements, are welcome.
