Charlaine Harris Inks Deal With Ace Books for New Graphic Novel TrilogyCharlaine Harris has said she will end the Sookie Stackhouse series with book 13 and she's already made plans for what comes next. USA Today reports that Charlaine's next project will be a graphic novel trilogy called Cemetery Girl.
The first book will be released in 2012 and will be published by Ace Books. Charlaine is collaborating on the series with author Christopher Golden and illustrator Don Kramer. The first book revolves around a teenage girl who has amnesia. She lives in a cemetery by herself as she tries to discover who she is and what she's doing in a graveyard.
Charlaine said in a press release, "I'd had the bones of the plot for Cemetery Girl in my head for a year when Chris suggested I re-imagine it as a graphic novel. Suddenly, the project made a lot more sense. Since Chris has more experience in the graphic novel field that I do, we agreed to team up for my first-ever collaboration. This is an exciting venture for both of us."
Sookie Stackhouse fans can look forward to the next book in the series, Deadlocked, which will be released on May 1, 2012. True Blood, the HBO version of the series is still going strong.
